Danskin Now Toning Sneakers
Apr. 19th, 2011 01:30 pmI promise I will have some book reviews soon but I've been wanting to let you know how I like my new Danskin Now toning sneakers. I tend to wear sneakers until they are literally falling apart so when I needed a new pair and found these on clearance 6 weeks ago I decided to give them a try.
Walking in a shoe which had a curved bottom was a new experience, and it took a few tries to learn the trick of standing still in them. ;-) I also don't wear platform shoes so the extra height was an adjustment as well. I quickly saw the benefits to them, though, as within the first week I had worn them many times in a variety of situations. I found them to keep my feet more refreshed as I was out and about. It used to be at the end of a long day my feet would ache (hence my use of foot creams!) but these have lessened that tremendously.
With spring in full swing here in Missouri I recently started walking in the park again. I was wanting to add more purposeful exercise and I absolutely love walking, even though in the past the sensory benefit seemed greater than the physical. I've had to surprisingly amend that thought since using the Danskin sneakers! They really do tone. The extra workout was evident after the first 2-mile stint and has become even more so three weeks later. The results are what I would expect after doing Pilates for twice that length of time. I still want to get back into my Pilates routine but it's nice to feel the muscles being worked out in other ways. I'm sold on Danskin and would give them a hearty recommendation to anyone looking for athletic shoes!
