Books I Meant To Read in 2020

No matter how much one reads, there are always more books that a reader wishes they had time for. Many of these 2020 releases I own and I'm just waiting for the chance to dive in. Others I'll be looking to add to my collection and my burgeoning TBR pile.

This Biblical fiction about Priscilla and Aquila has called to me since the moment I heard about it. I've been so close to picking it up so many times, but something else always pops up to claim priority.

I was interested with this eighteenth century story because it wrestles with the issue of slavery and tackles it from a different angle than I've seen before. Plus I know Lori writes really sweeping works.

I actually won a copy of the first book in a giveaway, but since Tara is a local author friend I told her she didn't need to mail it to me—she could just bring it the next time we saw each other. That was in June. Guess whose paths haven't crossed since then? I did read the prequel novella and really enjoyed it.

Sharon Hinck's Sword of Lyric books are some of the most beloved and well-read on my shelf. I'm thrilled that she's writing again, but unfortunately I haven't been able to get my hands on these yet.

I enjoyed Janine's debut novel so much that when I had a B&N gift card I used it to buy the sequel, but I haven't had a chance to open the cover even once. Someday soon!

Cynthia's warm writing style made me a fan, and I love the way she tackles tough issues. This book deals with hoarding, which I've never seen dealt with in fiction, and I think it will be a fascinating read.
