Last month I shared some of my favorite historical authors, and I thought it was time to take a turn featuring authors who write contemporary stories, in either romance or women's fiction. I hope you'll take a look and maybe find someone new to follow. 😊

Melissa Tagg
Small town romance never appeals to me more than in Melissa's works! The stories are funny and sweet, and her characters have a depth that will speak to your heart.

Katie Ganshert
If you like stories on tough issues that maybe punch you in the gut a little, I highly recommend Katie's books. Be willing to challenge yourself to think about things in a new light.

Cynthia Ruchti
I love how none of Cynthia's stories are normal. She writes people in need, often in unusual circumstances, and lights the way to Hope. This is a case of different being good!

Tracy Joy Jones
Tracy's Mayberry Family Series features the love and chaos that surrounds a big family during various holidays throughout the year. You'll love this fresh voice in the market!

Pepper Basham
If you like to swoon, you'll like Pepper's books. Haha! Her stories key on families and are often set in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and they are firmly in the romance genre.

Becky Wade
Becky's novels don't shy away from tough topics, and her characters are so vivid you feel like they could walk right off the page. I love the distinctive quirks she gives them!

Beth K. Vogt
I like the thoughtfulness that surrounds Beth's writing. Her stories are both gentle and captivating, making them easy to enjoy for myself and also to recommend to others.

Courtney Walsh
Courtney's books keep finding their way onto my Kindle. I like her voice and the messages her stories contain, as they are very real in their approach to life and love.

Lindsay Harrel
A new author from last year, Lindsay also doesn't shy away from difficult topics and has explored more than one genre. I look forward to seeing what she releases next!

Cynthia Herron
Cynthia's debut novel is set in the Missouri Ozarks, which happens to be right where I live! The story is cozy and full of small-town charm and second chances.
