This was a tough prompt! I've read a lot of good books in the past ten years, so it was hard to begin narrowing it down, especially with the caveat that it was one favorite released from each year. I didn't necessarily read these in the year they came out, but they all have a very special place in my heart. Click on the titles to read my original reviews.

Guardian of the Flame 2009: "Guardian of the Flame" by Tracy Higley
I loved all of Tracy Higley's Seven Wonders series! This one features the Lighthouse of Alexandria, and it has also been released under the title "Keeper of the Flame."

Silent Governess 2010: "The Silent Governess" by Julie Klassen
Julie is the queen of Christian Regency fiction, and this one is one of my favorites from her. Just rereading my review makes me want to pick up the book again. 🙂

Fierce Beauty 2011: "Fierce Beauty" by Kim Meeder
This non-fiction title focuses on how beautiful it is to fight for what matters most. It resonated deeply with me!

With Every Letter 2012: "With Every Letter" by Sarah Sundin
You could almost pick any year that Sarah Sundin released a book and find it on my Best Of list, but "With Every Letter" is a particular favorite because it's a "You've Got Mail" WWII story with a unique setting and well-developed characters.

Anomaly 2013: "Anomaly" by Krista McGee
On this list you'll find historical fiction, contemporary fiction, non-fiction, and.... young adult dystopian? You bet! I loved McGee's "Anomaly" and her other YA releases as well.

The Hardest Peace  2014: "The Hardest Peace" by Kara Tippetts
Kara Tippetts was a pastor's wife and mother of four young children who received a devastating cancer diagnosis. This book was released during her journey of battling the disease and coming to terms with God's faithful to us and our faithfulness to Him during life's hardest times.

Art of Losing Yourself  2015: "The Art of Losing Yourself" by Katie Ganshert
Two sisters raised by an abusive mom - one turns to perfectionism and tries to control her environment, the other turns rebellious with risky behavior. Circumstances force them to confront their past and try to find a way to connect with one another instead of hiding behind their own pain.

Reluctant Duchess  2016: "The Reluctant Duchess" by Roseanna M. White
Heartbreaking tragedy forces Rowena into a marriage with a young duke who is a complete stranger. Leaving her country but not able to leave her past, Rowena and Brice must find a way to overcome it and bridge their way into a future together. I absolutely love Roseanna M White's historical and historical suspense stories!

Life After  2017: "Life After" by Katie Ganshert
The sole survivor of a terrorist attack does not know whether she wants to still walk among the living. She's a reminder to everyone else of what they lost. But could her life be the key to helping some find healing? If you want deep contemporary fiction, Katie Ganshert is an author to check out.

A Daring Venture  2018: "A Daring Venture" by Elizabeth Camden
I loved this book so much, possibly because it was so unique and it made me care about things I never cared about before. It's all about water filtration, for crying out loud! And based on real life events of getting clean water into homes in New Jersey and New York City! But it's gripping, full of danger, and the romance is pretty great, too. It's definitely the best water filtration book I've ever read. ðŸ˜‰
