What a fun topic! What things instantly draw you to a story? Here are three of mine:
1. Favorite Author. Some call them "auto-buy" authors. They're the ones whose next book you want to read before they've even started writing it. It doesn't matter what it's about, you're in line to read it. I have a few of those!
2. Favorite Trope. Some storylines get me much more excited than others. I love a good marriage of convenience story, for example. I'll read a lot of different tropes, but there are some that stand out.
3. Recommendations from Friends or Favorite Authors. If I know someone with similar taste in books, their recommendations will go a long way in making me interested in a story that wasn't otherwise on my radar. If you love it, there's a good chance I'll love it too!
