I hope all of you are having a lovely holiday week! This first part of the week is pretty busy for me, but I'm looking forward to relaxing once we get past Thanksgiving dinner. 🙂

Today I'd like to highlight one specific thing I'm thankful for. 2019 was a very rough year for personal reasons, but one highlight all year long was making new friendships within American Christian Fiction Writers. 2020 has been very rough on a global scale, but ACFW continues to be a shining light of encouragement and strength.

This seems like a good time for an announcement. 🙂 I'm going to be president of my local ACFW chapter next year! This came about as a bit of a surprise, but I'm totally thrilled and looking forward to it.

Do you have a dream of becoming an author someday? Are there stories living in your heart that you wonder about bringing to life? If so, I'd like to encourage you to check out ACFW or a similar writing organization. There are so many people out there who want to help you, cheer for you, pray for you, and see you thrive. The Christian writing community has open arms. I'd love to answer any questions you might have. Your story combined with your courage to step out are the first steps toward finding a place here! 💙
