Sometimes there are books I love but they just don't come up in conversation as often as others. I mean, you guys could probably recite all my favorite authors at this point! However, the ones I'm listing below are all pretty special to me, too. I highly recommend all of them. 🙂

Have you ever wanted to spend time on a space station or be on the team to colonize Mars? This series combines political thriller with science fiction for a real delight to my reading senses.

I don't read much fantasy, partially because it's hard for me to get into different worlds. But in this series soccer mom Susan accidentally falls through a portal in her attic, and finds out she's the hope of a people she's never met.

I enjoy Regency stories, and Sarah has written several different series within this genre. I have especially enjoyed her Whispers on the Moor books, and her current Cornwall series.

One thing that makes these stories different is that Christian character is well represented and highly praised. I appreciated the fact that these were compelling stories without questionable content.

I liked that Liz's Women of Courage series dealt with unusual settings in WWII, and I've also enjoyed what I've read from her more recent Music of Hope stories.
