Eight Writers of WWI or WWII Fiction
Mar. 24th, 2020 09:26 amToday we are talking about different genres, and it's no secret that my favorite genre is historical. 🙂 In order to narrow down that broad topic, I'm listing authors who have written about either WWI or WWII. If these time periods are of interest to you, I hope you'll find someone new to check out.
WWI
Roseanna M. WhiteRoseanna has several books in the Edwardian and WWI eras. Specifically, her Shadows Over England and Codebreakers series fit this time frame.
Michelle UleI really enjoyed Michelle's A Poppy In Remembrance, which features famous preacher and author Oswald Chambers as a minor character.
Carrie TuranskyCarrie's Edwardian Brides series spills over in WWI as well. These are great stories with very wholesome characters and storylines.
Lucy Maud MontgomeryOf course I can't leave off one of my all-time favorite books, Rilla of Ingleside, which rings with the authenticity of a contemporary. Read with tissues!
WWII
Sarah SundinI just love Sarah's stories. You can't go wrong with any of them, but I do have my favorites if you ask for a recommendation. 😊
Liz TolsmaLiz has written a couple different WWI series. I enjoyed her Women of Courage stories because of their unique settings.
Dual Timeline
Kristy CambronSeveral of Kristy's books include WWII timelines, including The Butterfly and the Violin, A Sparrow in Terezin, and The Painted Castle.
Amanda DykesAmanda's spellbinding debut features a strong WWII arc about two brothers, bravery, and sacrifice.
