Top Ten Tuesday: Thankful Edition
Nov. 26th, 2019 07:19 am
I hope all of you are having a good Thanksgiving week! Are your turkeys defrosting while you bustle in the kitchen preparing for a big dinner? I still have work commitments today, but then I hope to have some relaxing time making good memories with family and friends. There will be plenty of cooking going on over here, and I also hope to have some good reading time. 😊
This week's Top Ten Tuesday is a Thanksgiving freebie, so I'm going to list a few book-related things I'm thankful for. 😊
Blogging friends. In many years of reading book blogs and now nine years of running my own, I've been blessed to make some genuine friendships. Tami from Pages and Threads and I have been e-mailing weekly for years and have met in person twice. This year a friendship has sprung up with Jolene of Beauty In The Binding. She and I have a lot in common and I'm truly thankful that we've connected.
Writing friends and ACFW. I'm so excited to be following my life-long dream of writing fiction, and though I'm early in my journey, God has already blessed with many friendships in this area. Authors are a really wonderful and generous bunch of people. And I got to see several of my favorites in September at the American Christian Fiction Writers conference, which would not have been possible without God answering a lot of prayers and busting down doors for me. I'm very grateful!
Review programs. You wouldn't be reading this blog without the many different publishers and promotional agencies that I've been able to partner with since 2010. I love reading and I love talking about books I've read, so working together has been a great way to keep up with the latest stories without breaking the bank.
There are a lot more things I'm thankful for, but these seem especially fitting to mention here today. May your holiday be blessed!
