I love strolling through the classic book section of any bookstore. Seeing old favorites with a new look can make me smile, although of course some cover redesigns can be cringe-worthy. Here are some I quite like and would not be ashamed to host on my own bookshelf.*

Emma "Emma" by Jane Austen
Just look at Romoa Garai's beautiful face! This adaptation of Emma is actually my favorite movie of all time, so of course I love this cover. 😍

Jane Eyre "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte
Isn't this one interesting, with so many key words and phrases scattered across the front?

Little Women "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott
This soothing color scheme makes you want to dive in for another visit with the March sisters, doesn't it?

Anne of Green Gables "Anne of Green Gables" by Lucy Maud Montgomery
One of literature's favorite red-headed heroines is waiting for you to join her on an adventure!

Pride and Prejudice "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen
The colors, the font, the design — this makes makes me want to find my favorite reading spot and dig in. 🙂

Girl of the Limberlost  "Girl of the Limberlost" by Gene Stratton-Porter
The picture on this cover was the one I grew up with. I love that it shows Elnora's violin and Philip looking on. Good memories!

North and South  "North and South" by Elizabeth Gaskell
This is another one where I adore the miniseries adaptation, so having Daniela Denby-Ashe on the cover is a plus.

Sense and Sensibility  "Sense and Sensibility" by Jane Austen
Isn't this lovely, with the gregarious Marianne and the more serious Elinor? It looks like a movie poster!

*Please note that my links are only to the general books on Amazon, not these specific covers. Unfortunately some of these are quite hard to find!
